Welcome to the Housing Authority of the City of Pueblo (HACP) job site. The HACP is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. The Housing Authority employs full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees to fill positions as needed. Those include entry-level clerical, maintenance, yard crew, administrative, technical, and managerial positions. HACP maintains a healthy environment for both our employees and tenants by providing smoke-free facilities.

Job Description & Announcement:


Accountant I

The Housing Authority of the City of Pueblo has an opening for the position of Accountant I. This is a full-time position with an hourly salary of $21.426. Applications may be obtained at the Mineral Palace Office, 1414 N. Santa Fe Ave, or Central Management Facility, 2011 S. Victoria Ave., between 8:00 am.m. and 4:30 p.m. or by clicking on the application icon above.

This position assists the Finance Director with the maintenance of the books and records of the Housing Authority in accordance with recognized accounting and auditing principles as prescribed by Generally Accepted Account principles (GAAP) or the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Duties include prepares and audits reports, records and statistical information, reconciliation of bank records, preparation of operating budges, assists in general ledger close-out, prepare for audits, and other duties as outlined in the job announcement. Applicant must have a four-year degree in Accounting or related field or a combination of education and experience, a minimum of three years responsible accounting experience, experience in Microsoft Office programs and be proficient with 10-key calculator.
